When Scotland and Greece converged on Prestwold Hall...
Fran, Mike, kilts, smashed crockery, bagpipes, a church wedding and an hilarious party. We've left links to all our fellow suppliers (in case any take your fancy) at the end.
We caught up with Fran and the girls at the Laundry Cottage...
...and we met Mike at the main house...
Fun fact: This Reservoir Dogs vibe was completely impromptu. Groups of guys must just naturally strut in formation.
We hung around in the sunshine with everyone, capturing a bit of what people were up to so they could share their morning with each other afterwards.
It kinda flew by. It felt like minutes rather than hours and all of a sudden it was time for Jimmy Choos and dresses...
Mike headed to the Church for some meeting and greeting...
Fran had a few moments with her dad and bridesmaids...
...before being piped over to the Church...
She moved surprisingly fast considering the size of the heels on those (rather gorgeous) shoes.
We stationed ourselves in the Church. Will hung about at the back to capture some shots down the aisle and from the balcony, and I (Sarah) hid in the flowers with the videographer. Literally in the flowers, between two bunches. You can see us in the first picture as Fran comes down the aisle but then we're gone, disguised by lashings of gypsophila. Honestly you had to be there... we got mixed messages about where the Vicar suggested we stand. Turns out she meant a different, much more spacious spot further back. I hadn't met the videographer before but I feel like we knew each other almost intimately by the time the first hymn was done. It worked out beautifully though as we got some pretty things to shoot through and were able to capture some cracking moments from a beautiful service.
Anyway, here comes Fran...
We shoot lots of different faith based services and it's lovely to see everyone get involved with readings and music...
...and then the serious bit...
... serious can be fun too...
With the official bit over and the paperwork signed, it was off out for hugs and hellos...
We helped everyone get organised for some confetti throwing whilst Fran and Mike had a 'just married' moment..
...before running the confetti gauntlet. Then the piper led the way back to Prestwold Hall...
Fran and Mike spent a bit of time with their guests, grabbed a bite to eat and something to wet whistles before we headed off for a quick stroll around the grounds. We like to keep couple shots and any group shots fairly informal. Some people enjoy striking a pose, some dread it. We always, always aim to meet you where you're comfortable...
Same principle for group shots. We chat to you about your vibe and the sort of thing you're after...
We also plan all of this bit in advance so we're not dithering on the day, and you can get straight back to your guests. Speaking of which...
Fran and Mike laid on a little singing waiter entertainment during dinner...
...before some speeches...
... then it was outside for some dancing and light carnage (in the form of smashing plates)...
There was more. This is a little under 200 of nearly 900 images delivered, we really struggled to choose which ones to share.
